Is Cambodia a very irritating country to visit? (as have heard lots of beggers,,and many are children)?

Though children begging for money is a problem in Cambodia, it should by no means prevent you from traveling there. Sure it exists, but I don't recall being over irritated by them. The best thing to do is completely ignore them. If you give them any hint that you may feel guilty and buckle, then they will never leave you alone. The most important thing to realize is that if you give them anything, then you are only encouraging these kids, and possibly their parents, to continue to live like this. If you really want to help them, then donate to an organization like Friends International. Or go to the Friends Restaurant in Phnom Penh for a meal. The food is delicious and the restaurant offers training and employment to former street kids.
